Daterra: Lands with personality and attitude

Campinas, Brazil

Steady climate, dry-fresh winters, warm-wet summers. Dry winds in pleasantly hot days and refreshingly cool nights. These are the perfect condition for amazing beans to be grown and this is what you find in the region where Daterra farms are located in Greater Cerrado.

Deterra farms are in the city of Patrocínio, Campinas(Minas Gerais). They are the oldest and among the best coffee producing regions in the country. All plantations are located between 900 and 1,200 meters above sea level where wind, sun and soil are exceptional for Arabica production. The diverse altitudes and microclimates create conditions that will surprise the palate with a large range of flavors from velvet and chocolate to bright-flowery profiles.

The Coffees

Each year Daterra’s masterful Cuppers search the vast potential of their unique small lots of coffee, what they call Masterpieces. This very “small farm” is a lab, where they test new ways of producing coffee. The lab is rich with new and unusual varietals, processing methods, drying techniques and limitless experiments which produce unique cup profiles with scores above 88 points.

Daterra Collections are the top quality coffees from their current offering. They are the best coffees from each plantation. These are coffees that score between 86-89 points and are fully traceable and usually used as single origins.

Daterra’s Classics are the best representatives of Cerrado coffees, with the benefits of Daterra quality and packaging. These lots are produced from their larger farms and produce single origin or an outstanding blending base with scores ranging between 80-86 points.

Arabica Trading House is the sole distributor of Daterra coffees in Turkey and we look forward to building a strong and lasting relationship with the Daterra Team in Brazil!
